The Good Servant

As a vessel for God's glory, I encourage and challenge myself FIRST, then those who will listen, to change. I want us all to produce good fruits. We all know what Jesus said about bad fruit right? "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 7:18-19)."

Jesus said you will know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:15-20). I don't preach repentance for fame, wealth, and popularity, but to warn the friends I love that the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17, Luke 24:46-47). This is the greatest encouragement I could EVER give a friend (Acts 3:19-21), in a world that's perishing. Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15). Repentance IS part of the Bible, is it, or is it not?

There is a HUGE difference between a GOOD friend and a SAVED and BORN AGAIN friend. Are we more excited to hear the Lord say "Well done my good servant, or well done my good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21)??? Our GOOD deeds DO NOT make us right with God. It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are made one with God (2 Corinthians 5:17-18), and considered faithful in His eyes; FAITH pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).

Yes, Jesus is a friend of sinners, but not all sinners want to be a friend of Jesus. How can an unbeliever mix with a believer, and they both be in agreement (Amos 3:3, 2 Corinthians 6:14)? You may say I'm only judging as an excuse for you to reject the TRUTH and hold on to your selfish ways, however, it is the Word of God which abides forever, NOT emotions and opinions.

"Or do you not know that the Lord's people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?" - 1 Corinthians 6:2
